Privacy is a feature, not a promise
Most finance apps make money from your data. KRONO doesn't. Your accounts, transactions, categories and history live on your device — not on our servers.
KRONO stores your financial data on your iPhone, encrypted by iOS. Analytics, categorisation and insight calculations all run on-device. Krono AS operates no database of your transactions.
The only remote system involved is SaltEdge, the regulated Open Banking provider that hands your bank data to your device — and only after your explicit consent.
No third-party analytics. No advertising SDKs. No selling data. No shadow profiles. No tracking pixels. No behavioural targeting.
Subscriptions are handled by Apple, so we never see your payment details.
If you want to share finances with a partner or family, KRONO can sync your data privately through your own iCloud with the people you choose. You decide who to include and you can revoke access at any time.
Nothing is shared outside that circle — not with Krono AS, not with anyone else.
KRONO is built to be compatible with GDPR and PSD2. Bank connections are read-only and time-limited. You can disconnect any bank, delete the app, and take your data with you at any moment.
Where is my transaction data stored? On your device, encrypted by iOS. Optionally shared with your household through your own iCloud if you enable it.
Do you sell or share my data? No. We don't sell, share, or transfer your data — because we don't collect it.
What can KRONO see about my bank? Balances and transactions from accounts you connected, on a read-only basis. KRONO cannot move money or change your account.
